Plan a Visit

If it's your first time at Grace Bible Church, you are our honored guest. Every church can be a little different, so here are a few frequently asked questions to help you plan your trip. We have two Sunday services which take place at 9:30 am and 11:00 am. If you are planning on joining us for one of our holiday services you can click here for up to date information. Can I attend if I'm _________?
Think about how you might fill in that blank. At one point or another, all of us feel that there are things about our lives that keep us from coming to church. But we trust that God is a loving God who wants to redeem us from our brokenness. So, whatever you might put in that blank, know that God is not surprised by it and that it would be His great desire for you find a family of faith that can help lead you to a place of wholeness and relationship with Him. That is what "Grace" is all about.
Where do I go when I get there?
We reserve parking spots for our first-time visitors right near the church entrance, so if you're new to GBC, be sure to look for the “visitor parking” spots up front.  If there aren’t any visitor spots available, feel free to park anywhere (even on the grass in the designated areas).  As you enter the doors, expect a friendly welcome from one of our greeters.  If you need anything throughout the day— just ask anyone with a GBC lanyard or name tag. We’re a friendly bunch, and we’d love to serve you.

What do you do for kids?
Our GraceKids ministry serves children 5th grade and younger.  We seek to help children experience Jesus on their level. GraceKids is a safe, age-appropriate environment where kids have their own time of singing, a Bible lesson, and small group time.  We are passionate about children having fun while they learn about Jesus, so we are sure they will have a great time.  As you enter the building, if you do not see a GraceKids sign simply ask a greeter where to go, and they can get you started registering your kids for the morning ministry and direct you to the GraceKids wing.  Once your child is registered, you can walk back with them to see where their classroom is and meet some of the volunteers on the way.  Ultimately, if it turns out that your child is more comfortable in the service on your visit, you can feel free to take them with you into the sanctuary.  For nursing mothers, there is space in the nursery set up with you in mind.  Feel free to use that space as much or as little as you like.

What about the middle and high school students?
Our student ministries meet together on Wednesday nights (middle school), on Sunday nights (high school) and on Sunday mornings (middle and high school) during the 2nd service.  Most new families take their students with them to Sunday service and then let their student visit the corresponding youth group on Sunday or Wednesday night.  However, if your student wants to jump right in on a Sunday morning during 2nd hour, just ask a person with a lanyard where the other students are meeting, and they will be sure to direct you there.

How long is the service?
Services last about 1 hour and 5 minutes. We start by singing three to four songs. Then the speaker preaches. If you want to see our preaching style, check out our current series here.  After our service, generally on the 4th Sunday of the month after the 2nd service, there is an informal reception that we affectionately call “milk and cookies” that meets just behind the coffee bar in the cafe.  For anyone that has turned in a filled-out orange card, you will be reminded and invited to that month's gathering.  If you are able to make this reception, you will get a chance to meet some staff and volunteers and ask any questions you may have.

What should I wear?
Don't feel like you have to dress up. Most people wear casual attire, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.
